The hotel is in an excellent area of South Kolkata, away from the maddening crowd but still conveniently close to Rash Behari Avenue with great structural faults. The rooms were very spacious and very well maintained at the front, making it hard to find any criticism with this lovely hotel.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. Despite being upgraded to a deluxe room at no extra cost, the room had some structural faults and a musty, dank smell. The service ranged from extremely personal and accommodating to frustratingly unhelpful. The location in a quiet neighborhood near Golpark and Menoka cinema hall was a plus, but the dining options were quite disappointing.
